DiscoverExplore ways to start using Office 365 during your Pilot
Email and calendars on the go
Start using your email in your browser with the Outlook Web App, or on your mobile device. You can open your calendar to see all of your upcoming meetings. Or, in a single click, you can reply to a message with a meeting invitation. Calendar and free/busy information is available for you and your other pilot users, allowing you to schedule a meeting and see who is available and when.
Use your Office on your phone
Get email up and running on your phone by following the directions in the “phone & tablet” section of the Get Started screen. Make and receive VoIP and video calls, instant message anyone on Lync and join Lync meetings by downloading the Lync 2013 app for your device.
Share files from virtually anywhere
Instead of attaching a document to an email, share it from your application. The Office applications allow you to directly share the file with users. Sharepoint Online will send the other users an email letting them know that you have shared a document, with a direct link to the document instead of an attachment. While working on the document at the same time as others, you can see comments and activity as you work, all the while keeping a single version of the document.
Work better together with Yammer
Create an account at Yammer.com and use Yammer to stay on top of projects and teams. In Yammer, create a group and add core members. Discuss the project within your Yammer Group, share project files, or quickly add a poll to get direct feedback from the team. @mention another member of the group in a post to boost morale with positive feedback or add relevant #topics so that others can follow the information quickly and easily.
Securely store and sync with SkyDrive Pro
SkyDrive Pro is your professional library, a place to keep and share your work documents and other files. Once you install Office 365 Pro Plus, press the Sync button on the top right of the page to synchronize your SkyDrive Pro documents and files to your local hard drive. Even when offline, you can work on your files, and they will update in the cloud as soon as you are back online.
Connect real-time and host effective online meetings
Set up an online meeting by adding Lync to your meeting request. With one click, participants can join the meeting using to PC-to-PC audio. You can add video, share your screen, upload a PowerPoint to present, or start a shared notes session with OneNote.
